Clean Water Access

Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, yet it is still a luxury for many people around the world. This is especially true in densely populated countries like Bangladesh and Nigeria, where water contamination and scarcity are major issues. However, Step to Humanity Association (STHA) is making a significant impact with its tube well installation project in these countries. By providing clean water access to communities in need, STHA is setting an example for humanity.

The lack of access to clean water is a significant problem in Bangladesh, where many people are exposed to arsenic contamination. Similarly, in Nigeria, 60% of the population does not have access to safe drinking water. STHA’s Tube Well Installation Project aims to address this problem by providing clean water to these communities.

In Bangladesh, STHA installed tube wells in various locations in Kaliakair upazila, providing clean water access to over 1000 people. This has had a significant impact on the well-being and health of the residents of the area by reducing the risk of waterborne diseases and improving sanitation. Similarly, in Nigeria, STHA’s tube well installation has provided clean water access for over 2,500 people, bringing joy to the community who never had access to clean water.

However, STHA’s project is not only about providing clean water access but also about empowerment and sustainable development. The project involves close collaboration with local communities to raise awareness about clean water and train community members in water maintenance and management. By empowering local communities to own the project, STHA has ensured its sustainability and long-term positive impact on the health, well-being, and economic development of the surrounding communities.

STHA’s tube well installation project in Bangladesh and Nigeria is an important initiative to provide clean water access to communities in need. By working closely with local communities, STHA has set an example for other organizations to follow, demonstrating the positive impact that can be achieved when communities are empowered to take ownership of their development projects.
