Livelihoods to Disabled People

Providing Means for Livelihoods to Disabled People

Step to Humanity provides costs for disease treatments, please see Health and Sanitation for details. After being recovered from disease, many beneficiaries become disabled and cannot continue their previous professions for income generation. For example, several beneficiaries of Step to Humanity in Bangladesh had leg amputations and lost their mobility. They did not have any means to support their families. At this critical stage of their lives, Step to Humanity helps them in establishing small shops in their locality for livelihoods.

A disabled beneficiary is running his grocery shop – only means to support his family with two school-going children.
